Our Activities
We focus on Health and Education to achieve sustainable community
Thematic Areas
Health
We believe life should be assured first. We work to ensure food security, protection from diseases, and adequate treatment to ensure good health for the community.
Education
We aim to bridge the knowledge gap by providing basic education to poor peasant’s children and orphans who otherwise wouldn't have the chance.
Key Projects
The Orphans Education Fund
This is a special fund setup to help orphans with their educational needs ranging from scholastic materials (books, pens, text books, pencils, uniforms) to school fees. Education is expensive for these families, and your support helps keep them in school.
The School: Suubi Preparatory School
Located at Muzizi village, Wakiso, our school covers Kindergarten/Nursery (Baby, Middle, and Top) to Primary Two. We opened this school to give every child a chance at basic education, regardless of sponsorship status. We currently face challenges sustaining the school as most children cannot pay, and we rely on well-wishers.
Support Needed: On average, 150 Euro per term is enough to educate an orphaned child, inclusive of all scholastic materials.
Apprenticeship Training
We offer a six-month hands-on apprenticeship training in tailoring for orphaned girls and young mothers who are out of school. This program aims to equip them with skills to start their own income-generating businesses.
Target: OVC girls, child mothers, and heads of child-headed families.
Goal: Self-sustenance and support for siblings.
Need: Sewing machines. Each donated machine supports a girl's training and becomes her startup capital upon graduation.
Other Activities
HIV/AIDS Sensitization
We conduct prevention campaigns at schools, homes, and in the community through child-friendly counseling, behavioral training, and awareness messages to combat the high prevalence of HIV/AIDS.
Community Development
We empower communities through economic empowerment training, startup of small income-generating projects (piggery, poultry, goat rearing), and agricultural input support for food security.
Apprenticeship Training
We recruit local and international volunteers to share knowledge and ideas. Volunteers work hand-in-hand with the organization to achieve our objectives.
